| The problem is
Ok the first step is clicking "place an ad", then when I click "place an ad" it gives the ad type option (step 1) If i chose the first option in the select box, it forwards me to all the categories in step 2, yet if I click the second ad option in step 1, I cannot recieve any categories in step 2.
Thanks
Jordan

Have to ask the obvious, do you have any categories for the second type?

I have the same problem. I can only choose a category when I use the sales template.

In your categories listing, when you created a category, did you change the value for: Template Type:
and select something other than the default?

Yes, I changed to "Wanted". I have also tried the other ones but only "For Sale" works.

The problem is you can only have ad types on categories that are separate. You can not mix and match children ad types.
Anotherwards if the parent ad type is for sale you can not create a child of wanted. It would need to be on another parent type set up for wanted.
I know Michael was looking at allowing mixing and matching

At 2:45pm I updated the 1.8.2 release to include a change in pp-inc.php (catmoveopt) which should allow different types within subcats. I did some testing on photopostdev.com after making these changes.
