1.8c: Not changing user permissions

I'm running 1.8c, and when allowing my free accounts to post ads it change it in the usergroup settings, but it won't make the changes stick, it changes allow comments and allow edit own add as yes, but not post their own ad, i need this fixed asap. or atleast a workaround asap!!

Little more info please.

You say comments permissions etc are saved are upload permissions saved. The way upload permissions are saved is for all usergroups. So we need to know where you mean your getting an error?

Also understand what are you category permissions? You may have unregistered set to upload in usergroup permissions but category permissions matter just as much as usergroup settings.

If you set category permissions to not allow uploads from unregistered users they are not going to be able to even though usergroups say so
