Comments not working

Hi there,

Not sure if this is a setting or a problem, please feel free to move if its a setting?

I can't seem to comment on any images.

I have set the categories up to allow comments.

I have set my usergroup up to be able to comment on images.

However I get the comment section under the images but there is no where to type?

Try disabling any hacks or mods on your comment or smileys and see if that makes a box appear I would suspect this is a conflict with a mod you have installed that affects the comments box.

Yeah that should solve your issue. It was common place in tons of threads in vb3 and vb4 using there posting boxes users using hacks that affected the comments box would break it in vbgallery since those hacks are only designed to work with vbulletin and not other programs that may use the vbgallery.

Hi chuck,

I turned off all hacks one by one but still had no comments system.

It might be cached though???

Do you know what hook the comments uses, so I can try and track down the plugin via hooks.

Thanks for your time.

Mick

try turning off all plugins except the vb forum vbgallery cms or blog. Anything else should be off.

You only do one at a time once you confirm its a plugin issue

You can also try upgrading making sure your using the latest and make sure to reinstall all templates plugins.

Sorry been really busy not to update this.

I found the problem in a small plugin I wrote as a CDN for my forums.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Do you have any idea why this would be causing the issue chuck?

Thanks very much for your time.

Does your hack do anything else the reason I ask is the comment above looks normal?

You can send me site details if you want me to look at the files and see anything.
