Java Upload Issues

We are using vB 4.1.12 with vBgallery 3.01 on sporttouring.us and are having issues with the Java Batch uploader. It works fine with MSIE and Google Chrome, but does not work with FireFox or Safari. The Java Uploader shows up, allows you to select the files, seems to upload them, then when you "submit" them they disappear. The uploaded files do not show up on the Upload:Process Files page. Any ideas? This is using FireFox 15 and Safari 5.1.7 on Windows 7.

No sorry I do not have any ideas off hand what your issue might be with the Flash Uploader. That is external code we did not write so my only resource is to actually look at the swfupload site and see what documentation they have on any such issues.

Maybe try turning off any plugins for the browsers that might interfere.

I have tried uploading in Mozilla and Safari and they work fine for me and I am using the latest of both browsers. So the issue would be trying to track what is different about your browser setup which is extremely hard.

The flash upload in general is well know for having hiccups across different browser platforms. I will try doing some testing on multiple sites to try and reproduce any issue.

I disabled all plug-ins in Mozilla, no change. I can give you a Gallery login to my site if you wish...

Sure you can do that. Just not sure how much help we can be with the flash uploader. This is the very reason we have a global on off switch as it is known to not work on every setup.

Looking on the swfupload site, this seems to be a reported issue with Macs. What version of swfupload does vBgallery 3.01 use and how much of the original code is modified?

version 2.50 if I read it right.

I can not say how much is modified as I do not know what there original looks like.

I believe most of our coding is externally done in say like flashupload.php however if there newer files change function names or things work differnet you will have issues trying to just update the swfupload.js etc

That would explain your issue and why no one has reported an issue your using a MAC.
