You said safe mode in PHP is on?
As long as safe mode is off and the folder is correct you should as admin be able to upload from the server. I just tested this and does appear to work fine. Your uploaded images and directory should be 777 permissions.

If safe mode is off then you need to change the file storage method to not safe mode.

I think there is some type of misunderstanding
Your safe mode in PHP should be off and safe mode bypass off

I would suspect this is your issue because with safe mode on the actual users upload folder and files folders are all the main ones. having safe mode on means folders can not be created so files are processed and stored a different way.

reinstall vbgallrery, now works
Function (+] Larger Image / [-] Smaller Image) is incorrectly displayed
look: Gallery Message - Gallery 12mm
Now another problem. how to make the default display middle size?
now is displayed by default large size.

I hate to say, but I'm unable to upload directly from the server, also.
Safe Mode is off, I've chmod'd the "user", "1", and "files" folders to 777 and I'm getting no results, and the pics remain in that folder.
Any ideas? I just installed the newest version yesterday. vBulletin 4.1.6.
[EDIT] I just realized that it just won't process multiple uploads, even with the standard upload method. Single uploads are fine.

If you ftp files to the server make sure your users upload directory and all files you uploaded are 777 permissions.
