Watemarking causes GIF to lose animation

Basically whenever I upload an animated gif file to one of my galleries, and the watermark feature is on, the gif loses it's animation.

Any way to keep this from happening?

You can not watermark an animated gif without losing animation. Alot of times creating a thumbnail from an animated gif means the thumbnail is not animated as well.

That's what I started to think too, but then I saw another photopost gallery who did have animated gifs AND watermarking both on.
So I was thinking of manually uploading everything, but then I thought that if I acidentally pressed the watermark button or I needed to do it for some other reason, that i'd have to do it again.

Anyways, my point is, if you use imagemagick, you can watermark images without losing animation. Only the thumbnail won't be animated like you said (but the site I saw also had thumbnails animated too so I'll have to figure out that one too).

Although two gifs by the same artist seem just turn into the correct size but no actual image, just black.

EDIT: But this seems to be just a fault with imagemagick and not photopost so

Yes you are correct this is image processor related and has nothing to do with our application.
