Just started today. Click on gallery and it goes to gallery but I am logged out. Have not made any changes to anything! Same for everyone.

well how are your cookies setup?
If you have your forums as www.domain.com and your gallery as domain.com and cookies are not right I can see this happen.
Your cookies always should be set like so
cookie path /
cookie domain .domain.com

Checking with the guy who made my "test" site in April as he mentioned vbGallery and cookies IIRC.

Like I said since vbGallery is built directly as a vb plugin your issue can only be what I described set your cookies as I noted and you should be fine.

My cookie domain is blank
Thanks Chuck!

Did some investigating. Only have problem with FF (my default). OK in IE and Chrome. How do I clear cookies in FF?

cookie path must be /
setting to to /forums/ means the cookie is only valid on the forum nowhere else.
I believe you want to check the options in mozilla and clear cookies.

Gets really strange. Went to another computer. Works in Chrome, not in FF or IE!

well simple answer would be something did change and you did not pick up on it. Problems do not come up like this out of the blue especially cookies. If your forum is installed in a directory called forums and gallery in a directory called gallery then users would never be logged into your gallery if your site is like this
domain.com/forums
domain.com/gallery
Therefore if your problem started recently then that would mean someone physically changed the cookie path to /forums/ from /
A cookie with a specific path to one directory say forums would never work over a directory of gallery.
That is an absolute law of how cookies work that is why if you read the FAQ documentation in the faq forum on cookies we explain how to set cookies explicitly to work over the entire domain.

Well, I'm not being logged out now, but when I try to upload an image I get a 404 error after selecting a file and clicking upload.

If your cookies are set as instructed in the tutorial I posted you should be fine as far as login logout.
This should help with any 404 error http://www.photopost.com/forum/1285755-post2.html |

My issue has nothing to do with comments. I'm on 3.01, I guess I should upgrade to 3.02, huh?

Your issue has to do with baseurl and you should apply the resolution posted there for your 404 error.

Just didn't see anything in that post about the 404 error.
Adding that line did it. Everything works fine..............except one that I might never have noticed. From the gallery, if I click my name I get a 404 error. Notifications, settings, profile all are fine, just my name. Yes, clicking my name from any other location (forum, CMS) works fine.

At the very top where it has my name, notifications, settings, profile, log out. Only happens from the Gallery, nowhere else. No other 404 errors. Not a big deal, just strange. Same when logged into a regular user account.
