.htaccess Protection causes images to disappear

Not sure if it's just me but when I turned on "Use .htaccess Protection" and uploaded new pictures (to refresh the cache), no gallery pictures would load anymore.

Just thought I'd report that ^^ I don't really intend to use this feature anyway

Yes simply turn the feature off. They are investigating the htaccess file problem.
