issue with multi-delete

I have users saying this function does not work:

sitename.org

when they select multiple images then click "delete selected", it prompts are you sure? They say yes, but the images remain.

Is this a known issue? Thanks!

ok I have done some more research. What I have found. My vbGallery setting:

Quote:

Enable Mass-Editor for Images
If enabled, all users with images can mass-delete or edit their images from the User Control Panel. You have to give each usergroup permission in: 'Can use Multieditor'.
This has always been enabled and they can see the multi-delete page. I found that as admin I can delete multiple images. However, as user I can select multiple images, click the button, page refreshes, but the images remain.

I double checked permissions and they all give my users ability to delete their own images. They can in fact open an image of theirs and delete it, but can't multi-delete.

There seems to be some weird issue with permissions. Admin can do it fine, users can't. Any ideas? Thanks

I will do some testing and report back. where is this multi delete interface for users? url? I would suspect that the issue would be related that maybe an admin can only delete the images instead of checking for some alternate permission.

Thanks Chuck. The link I was directing them to was here:

Thanks I will see if I can track down anything

In admin manage addons I have the option to show mass delete for users and I am viewing my profile I see nothing so I do not know if I am in the right place. I am not totally familiar with every last vbgallery option since I do not personally use the product.

I can pull up the page directly that is not an issue. I can verify your issue I just do not see how one gets there.

I will search the plugins and see if I can see anything that might be out of place with permissions.

my users are reporting the same issue, while I can use the multi-delete just fine.

FYI, the page the multi-delete appears on is under the user cp (settings). /profile.php?do=vbgeditimages

Chuck S March 17th, 2012 12:09 PM

are user permissions to mass delete images set to yes?

tavenger5 April 17th, 2012 10:16 AM

I'm not seeing a 'mass delete images' option under usergroup permissions, just a 'Can delete own images'. Is there a setting somewhere else?

tavenger5 June 18th, 2012 11:24 AM

Has anyone taken a look at this? My members are still having this issue.

I am not familiar with vbGallery and all its features the one question I asked that was never answered was how does one get to whatever url was posted. I never saw a link so I have no basic to search. The page noted was an administrator mass delete page it looked like.

Yes they are. I setup a test account on my site that I will PM you.

The question I asked was how is one getting to that final page. I see no such link in vbgallery except when I am an admin.

The URL that was posted is on usercp.php in the left column.
