All images defaulting to thumb size

Just got everything working today. For a brief time, no problems. Now, my thumbs are correct, but now the normal and original images showing up as thumbs utilizing the latter's dimensions.

When I set the original to pop up in a new browser window, a large window pops out with a thumbnail sized image in it.

This happened to all existing images and to any new images I upload to test.

I'm really scratching my head on this one, especially since it was working to begin with.

It would be very helpfull to see the problem
I suppose that there is some setting you changed without wanting, like thumbnail size and/or filetypes.
try rebuilding normal images in maintenance

Ok found the bug... it seems the htaccess protetction when ON does not work on all servers.
switching it off resolves the bug.

Yeah htaccess does not work on all servers indeed and can be tricky because most people forget they do this
