Showimage and Safari problem

I have the right sidebar on show image page that has image info and under that 5 more image thumbnails by the user. On all browsers except Safari this is page right just under the image and next to the comments. In Safari this sidebar is pushed to the bottom of the page under the comments. I have reverted the show image template without luck. Any Ideas? Thanks

Well its probably the width of the sidebar that is in cause. (probably 1 px too much)
The problem is i cant have a look at it because i'm on an assignment for my rl job..(in tunis, tunesia - you probably have been seeing in the news that situation here is not really good for programming ;) ) and I will only be back home on sunday. I will look at it then.. Just one question: safari mac or safari windows? or both?

Appears to be both. I have not been able to check this against other sites. I searched high and low for a vbgallery 3.0.1 site to compare but could not find one. If you can point me to one I can check there as well. Thanks.

Hi Luc, other owners now reporting the issue so it's not just me. I tried changing/reducing the sidebar stylevar width but no success. I hope you are still alive o_O :)

yeah just arrived back.. took a first look.. very strange issue,
because if you hit the hide sidebar button and make it come back.. its positioned correctly (with my install)
Luc
I'll look into it

Thanks Luc! 35% of my users are on Safari so looking forward to a solution.

Ok, I found it...
a cut and paste error...

because since 4.08 vb changed the sidebar css...
so when the change was added to vbgallery..
the adv_gallery_showimage_sidebar.css was changed...
the @charset "UTF-8"; was added twice... browsers dont care... but safari does, it does not load the stylesheet if that line is there twice..

To fix, you can remove the line in the template.. but.. you will have to revert the template on next update...

open template :
adv_gallery_showimage_sidebar.css

at the top of the template you have these 5 lines:
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
REMOVE THE LINES THAT ARE RED!!!

and safari should be fine..
