You should try using 2.51 of vbgallery then seeing what the issue is.
I am trying to compare your error lines in the files not seeing anything that stands out or any issues with the coding side of things.

There was literally been no work done on vb3 since vbulletin 4 is what most are using now adays.

I think I have the latest version 2.51
Because when I try to Upgrade, I get this message:

You are fine there is no upgrade script from 2.5 o 2.51 it is simply updated files.

Well like I said I see nothing in the code just a guess maybe you can alter showimage.php and near line 272 as noted add the line in bold and see what happens Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
