| Userinfo merge causing problem with last post on user profile
If I have the "Userinfo Merge" plugin active certain users have incorrect entries in the "last post" field on the statistics page of their user profiles.
lets take myself for example:
if the plugin is active, then my profile looks like this (please notice the date of my supposed "last post") Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
If I deactivate the "Userinfo Merge" plugin then my profile looks like this (notice the correct "last post" information) Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
I have tested this with all other plugins and products disabled and it still happens.
Regards

just as an additional note, this same exact problem is happening on my test vbulletin 4.1.3 installation and unlike the 3.8 version, turning off "Userinfo Merge" does not fix the issue.
If I disable the entire 3.01 vB Gallery program, the problem does go away.

That means the issue is fixed in vbgallery 3.0 series. You are not suppose to disable individual plugins. If the problem is not there when vbgallery is disabled then that would be correct.
I will see if I can track down Luciano to see what he did to fix the issue and what would be a relevant 2.5 series fix.

There are 2 problems, I probably should have opened a second ticket in the vB 4.0 forum for the addendum vB 3.8.7 and vB Gallery 2.51 with Userinfo Merge plugin enabled >Last Post problem is there. vB 3.8.7 and vB Gallery 2.51 with Userinfo Merge plugin disabled >Last Post problem is not there. vB 4.1.3 and vB Gallery 3.01 enabled > Last post problem is there. vB 4.1.3 and vB Gallery 3.01 disabled > Last Post problem is not there.
Doesn't that mean that the problem is not fixed in 3.01? If it's there when the gallery is enabled then something in the gallery is causing the problem no? Wouldn't that mean that the problem is NOT fixed? That it has moved elsewhere in the code than the Userinfo Merge plugin?

I am confused then. If the gallery is enabled the last post by user field could theoretically contain a gallery action not just a forum last action. What exactly is incorrect?

I'm really sorry, but did you really just ask what's incorrect?
What's incorrect is that if your gallery product is running, my profile shows my last post as being from 2002 (please take the time to look at the screenshots I posted)
If your gallery product is not running, then all is fine and my profile correctly shows my last post.
For some of my users, if your gallery product is running, their profile shows their last post as one that is not only not their post, but was created before they even joined my forums.
If your gallery product is not running then their profile correctly shows their last post.

I do not work with vbgallery support so I do not run the product so I would need to see your site.
Please email correct site urls and logins as I would have to see the data. Screen shots do not provide all the answers. Is the link right but only the date wrong thats what I would need to investigate. I can debug the queries through admin.

What permissions do you need to have? I'll setup an account for you. Are you going to be troubleshooting both my current 3.8.7 install and my test 4.1.3 install? If so, I'll have to setup accounts for you for both
I just realized that even in my case, the post that is listed as being my last when the gallery is active is not mine either, just a random old post. The link is totally incorrect. For my own account, it is showing as my last post, a post from another user from 2002.
I was also just wondering that if you don't work with vbgallery support, why are you the one supporting it?
Where would you like me to email the login information once the accounts are created?

I would need url admin login with full admin perms and ftp ideally. Yuo can send those through the contact us link in our header.
Not really I try and help here when I can. Michael and Luciano work directly with vbGallery. I develop Classifieds and ReviewPost and provide support mainly for everything but vbGallery.
I have notified Luciano about the issue to see if he has any ideas as I stated. I can not say how long it would be for him to respond. I do not have a test setup of vbGallery myself so it would take me some time to actually make a site for that. It is usually quicker if I am going to try and assist with a product I do not work with natively to have access to a site which is already setup.

Do you need the ftp info before you start or can you just give it a look before you get it?

well I need to track down where the actual problem is in the code. This will take some time as I go step by step backwards from the variable in the template to how that corresponds in the program. If a change has to be made in a file versus a template or product plugin then I would need ftp definately.

I am going to have to setup a test vbgallery install on my site as I will need to track down and have full mysql access etc. I have as noted contacted Luciano but this will take alittle while. I need to figure out where exactly things are going amiss.

It gets even more interesting.
I installed a clean test copy of vbGallery uploaded to the gallery etc. Checked in my profile to show last post information. Everything works fine. My forum last post shows fine. Nothing in vbGallery affects this so I will keep digging and trying to replicate your issue.
Did you recently do any vb impex imports etc? any information here to assist that might explain the issue. I need to try and figure what action might cause the problem your describing.
In vb4 the statistics last post info is under the about me tab correct? I checked your site and this is what I am comparing to my install.

that test installation was created in 2009 (or whenever vb4 originally came out) from a copy of my live vb db. I've been running vb since 2.0 or some such, it was a long time ago that I switched to it from YABB, lol. I don't think I ever ran an impex script.
Yes, it's the last post info on the about me tab in vb4
So you do see that there is definitely a problem? I'm relieved |

as an additional note, I don't know if this may have any effect on anything, but I have been running vB Gallery since before it was your product. Like I said, it's been a loooooong time |

What I am saying is yes I see there is an issue on your site.
However I am trying to track down where the issue is or what action would cause it.
I did a test install on my site and there is no such issue. This is why I am trying to narrow down what specific actions may cause this. If it was a global issue then the issue should be present on every last vbgallery install no matter how old.
I am running various maintenance items anything on my site to try and break it at this point. Trying to break it to see how any issue is replicated would help fix it.
