| Page not found - Happenned all by itself!?
Hi,
Hope you can advise me here...
Went to my site today and found the gallery not to be working, where the index page is I receive a white page that simply says: Page not found
I have checked the url, thats normal, I have done all maintenance possible and even repaired and optimized the db in cpanel. I have verified that the files are there and that my other admin has not worked on this.
Not blaming this site for this but a little help would be appreciated as I am stumped. The only thing I would say when I ran maintenance in the admincp, the scan db failes due to a:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /****/****/*******/public_html/Forum/admincp/vba_gallery_admin.php on line 2127
Any ideas people?

How about you post a url here?
Are other pages of the gallery accessible?
Do you get any errors in your servers error logs that might help diagnose? A white page just goes not appear out of anywhere. it usually indicates a server issue of some kind like bad file permissions paths. Something is a miss and the error log should have an answer here.

Well things like this do not happen for no reason. HMM my first instinct here without knowing anything else is possibly maybe your server was upgraded and your server path changed? You can check the phpinfo in forum admin for your server path but edit your gallery config file and on the $forumpath line place the proper full server path to your vb install. While your in ftp of course make sure your gallery files actually exist.

index.php was in the gallery folder and that's what was confusing me; it's as if it wasn't. Anyway, I've fixed this part, changed CHMOD of gallery folder to 755 (it was 777) and now the index page shows... change it back and white page again. So, I guess if you give it too much access it won't show... a safety feature???
Now everything seems to work EXCEPT in showimage.php & displayimage.php I can't see any images (just red cross in showimage & white page in displayimage). Could this be a CHMOD issue as well, if so, what should the access be set at?
Thumbnails show, but not the main images.

well your gallery is closed so I cant see anything to suggest what the issue might be.
Have you checked your settings your paths etc?
Nothing has changed it appears to me your server settings have changed. All directories should be 755 expect files and users as noted in the install instructions. As stated something has changed whether it be you setting permissions incorrectly or server being upgraded your host changing something. Nothing happens for no reason.
If you open the gallery or provide us through the contact us link with an admin login to see your showimage page etc I can make a suggestion of what might be wrong.

Sorry, switching my gallery back on shows the main images again. Everything is fixed now... not sure why my CHMOD changed in the first place though.

Any ideas what the issue is?

Have you tried running an ini_set line in that file? It would appear to me your server is limiting the script to 30 seconds and the action is taking longer than that. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
You can put something like that near the top of that file. |
