No Admin Options in Image Tools on showimage.php If logged in as forum admin I can see the Admin Options (edit, delete, make category image) section in Image Tools on showimage.php in all pictures. But logged in as a user I can't see that option for this user's pictures. I allowed all registered users to delete others' pictures just to check - still a registered user, not admin, can't see the options for any pictures. So the only possible way to see those option is being logged in as the admin. I can't understand that - the gallery can see my group (admins) and permissions, but it can't see these same permissions if they are given to a non admin group. Also I have this problem (and the the same way as in that thread solves it): http://www.photopost.com/forum/bugs-...nk-usercp.html I have both problems with all vb plugins turned off except vBGallery |
A registered user is not going to see the options to edit or delete a picture unless its there own picture. I show this next issue was fixed in the new code. Have you downloaded the new code and reinstalled the templates plugins etc? Or have you simply edited the plugin stated and put the code in bold? |

I also wrote this: Quote:
Nobody at all can edit their own pictures except me, the admin, on my forum, and that is a huge problem now. About the second problem, I'm sorry, I gave you the wrong link. I have this problem: http://www.photopost.com/forum/bugs-...flimstrip.html/ The "userid" parameter is always empty. So to sum up: 1. Users can't edit, delete etc their own pictures. 2. http://www.photopost.com/forum/bugs-...flimstrip.html I would guess that the script can't understand who the user is (because commenting out the userid helps in the second problem). But the script understands when the admin is logged in - admin can edit any pictures. I have turned off all the vB plugins except vBGallery to see if that helps - no effect. |

Okay well I will go check our helpdesk and respond accordingly. |
I logged in as the test user provided and there is most definately an edit image link where I can click and edit delete the image if permissions are set correctly. Glad to assist you. |
-2478 - Ãàëåðåè ÒÔÏ Ôîðóìà If you pass a userid then the program operates fine. Remember the userid is not passed in all links in the program usually only when your viewing photos in a member category link. Only in specific instances are you going to see a userid passed in a url. |
OK, I see the edit and delete (in the edit page) options now, sorry, they were there before obviously. But I still can't find the option for user to set an album cover - his own category's image: Code: Content visible to verified customers only. The Admin Options in the screenshot are not visible to the test user account, only to the admin account. |
category avatars are for categories not user albums. You can set a category image not an album image. I hope that clarifies the issue. |

I just set that personal album's image and it's there as it should be. This is vBGallery, not Photopost Pro. In vBGallery "categories" and "albums" are one and the same thing, same table, same everything except one little thing - the "owner" field, which is empty for a "category" and filled for an "album". vBGallery can allow to edit own image, not allow to edit other's image. Why can't it allow to set one's owned category's image and not allow to set a not owned category's image? |
Thats a sub category not an album there is a difference here. Only the owner of the category can set the cat image or as always an admin. |

Code: Content visible to verified customers only.At first I couldn't see the ooptions to edit and delete the image, but now I see. Can you please show me the option to set a cat image for a user (owner!), not an admin. |
No maybe I am mistaken here that is an admin option so you answered your own question only an admin can set it. |

well its logical and considering all the products we have sometimes I do get features mixed up but yes the final answer comes from what is in the default coding. |
