Logon problems

Last nigth (European time) our site has been transfered to another server on Midphase, as you may know we have PP and vb3 intergrated, login on to vb3 goes without problems, but when I go to PP galery I'm logged out and get this error message:

This I see when I try to logon to the PP admin panel:
Midphase says this after the move (now 8 hours ago):
I can't find anything wrong in the admin panel of PP, any suggestions?
The site is up and running no other error appear, both PP and vb3 are working only logging on to PP is not working properly. I know that more people are experiencing this, but I also see people uploading photo's and seem not to have this problem, and I only get the database error for my ID (1) only.

When I clean all temp files, delete all cookies etc. I shut down IE of FF, start again with no browser history, logon in PP, I'm logged in, when I go ro VB I stay logged in, but when I go back PP I'm logged out!!! And vice versa, when I can login to PP and go to VB I'm logged out!! And this is for all users, I'm not sure anymore why and wat to do anymore, nothing has changed!

Cookies values are the same as in VB
I see people do get logged in, so this is strange.

well your query is invalid you might need to know why your userid variable is that weird string and not the userid from the userid cookie.

The site has been moved already ofcourse and it was done by our hoster Midphase, is this a database problem? I'm worried to what I should do, everthing besides loggin on is working ok, uploads, comments on photo's, forum topic and threads.

It was a one on one move, I have a backup from before the move, unfortunatly people have already uploaded new photo's in PP and topics on the forum.

The last move we dit this didn't happen. We moved because we hade database errors.
I'm worried because I don't know what to do now. When I look into the database for userid I see just number and not the trailing code.

Do you have suggestions, ok I did read the section How to move.... but I'm not sure if I do the right thing.

I made a new database, and imported the sql file from before the move to another server, but stil the same effect, do you have any options left. I did what you told in the document: How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories"

I dont understand what you mean you can comment upload everything else is fine except login. You have to be logged in to assign permissions to do all that so lets see a url.

For example: If I am completely logged out I can log in to the galery.
When I'm logged in to the galery and want to upload a photo I have log in again, after that I can upload a photo.

When I want to go to the forum I need to logout completely, then go to the forum index and log in again that's the way we have to do this at the moment.

Of course our site is in Dutch but I tell you this:

Try this thread here. I see no open errors or anything on your site. You just look like you have cookie issues.

Make sure you have the currect vbulletin license number in the config settings in photopost so the login is recognised right.

I've seen a login problem topic with an incorrect vb license no, so I've checked this and is according to the no I got from vBulletin.

I did check de lic.no again, and is good.

I did read the article, and it looks like it should be ok. I simply don't get it, it worked with all this, we moved and it went wrong, but below is the last thing I can think of.

The only thing that I can think of is, when we were moved the first time we had a similar problem, the account on the other server was not shut down completly and was interfering with PP and VB3, I notified Midphase about this, but so far they have not given any reply, this is the last thing I can think of, otherwise I will install everthing completely over, and import the database again, it's alot of work since we have done modifications, but hopefully it wont come to that.

By the way and off topic, what do think about the site, besides the fact you probally did not understand Dutch?

There are several cookie help threads as long as the cookies are the same.

As long as the move is done correctly meaning its reading all the right databases and server paths there should not be an issue.

I have opend the cookie window of Firefox and I'm checking what happens, when I completely logoff the system says cookies are deleted, but I see cookies stil there, also I see bbsessionhash, bblastvisit, bblastactivity now multiple times is that normal?

The cookie bbuserid is concerning me, somtimes I see the cookie with the correct id (1) end sometimes the string like above.

I checked the bblastvisit cookie, I'm not logged in, when I go to the forum a string like above appears for bblastvisit when I go back to the galery the same bblastvisit changes to: 1251110033 (looks to me the time/date format, and strangly the bblastactivity shows a 0 (looks to me an userID no) This all looks like something is terrible wrong and variables get mixed up or something like this, a database error, in other words a corrupt database?

Also the last photo block we have does not change with new uploads, if people get logged in they can actually upload and give comments.

It's a cookie thing, and maybe a database flaw, but I'm not sure./

If this all is not working I want to do a new install for both PP and VB, but I'm not sure about all the data I have now in the database. Can I import a database on a new install for example.

Well make sure all your vb files are current and not hacked. Your vb is what makes your cookies so unless something is wrong with vb I cant say. I checked the cookie I have and its fine userid 519. I tried logging in and out a few times and same no issues.

Did you also switched from forum to gallery and back a few times, that's were it's going wrong and I'm most suprises you are able to login the first time.

I think you really need to follow that thread and make sure everything is done correctly. Make sure your forum is all new files not hacked no plugins deal with the simple for now. Make sure its connecting to the new database on the new server etc in there config file.

Then check your photopost config. To my knowledge everything if setup right should provide an accurate login. You can always as suggested ask vbulletin. Your issues are coming from vbulletin login.

I login to the gallery fine here and the proper cookies are made. Are you using some type of other stuff besides a normal vb? Obviously tracking down other changes you have made are going to help you.

No, no other stuf besides vb, just made changes to the code as you may have seen, the layout is non standard but these are just minor changes.

At the moment I haver version 3.8.2 of vb3, I already downloaded the new version(s) eralier 3.8.3 and just now 3.8.4, i'm a bit ancieus to do an upgrade right now, but I think it would be best. But for now my members have found a good way to get logged in to the gallery, unfortunatly they have to login to the forum again if they want to go there.

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .wfcfotobeeld.com

The vblicense number must absolutely must be the same as vb's in the photopost config settings. This usually begins with like a VB blah blah and is at the top of the vb global.php file and all the other php files. That license number is used in the formation of the password cookie and your logins will never be aligned without that

As far as the userid funkiness not putting the vb userid well thats purely on your vb side of things meaning there is a problem there.

Chuck, in both PP and VB cookie path and domain are the same, no cookie prefix set at both, do I need the cookie prefix, never had this filled in.

Checked and double checked the license no for VB its the right one, I've looked it up again in the email from vBulletin and copy and paste it again in PP.

So it's all VB, ok, Midphase are at the moment also looking in to the situation if the move from the other server was done correctly and no traces still are there to the old server, we had this before resulting in a error, but not a login error.
If this is not going to work, then I will install the new version of vb3 I have it and paid for a year of updates, but due to the modifications I'm a bit worried, the same with PP, I have downloaded the 6.23 version, but I want to wait with updates until login are normal again.

I can hear you say, why make modifications to the software, it's good! True, but we wanted to have just that bit more and to stand out from other similar sites in Holland.
But before the move it worked just fine with the mods, I'm still confident that everthing will be ok.
