Version number error

Just upgraded to 2.5 but still shows as being 2.4.3 in Admin, bug or error my end?

Chuck S August 5th, 2009 05:04 PM

Interesting did you run the upgrade?

I am showing 2.5 in my test site.

clothahump August 6th, 2009 01:34 AM

Uploaded all files overwriting old ones, ran upgrade which seemed to stall out slightly at Templates then went to Admin index with no further screens.

Chuck S August 6th, 2009 06:52 AM

Are you able to view the settings table in the database and see what version it lists?

Sorry, I upgraded as I stated before.

Chuck S August 6th, 2009 03:38 PM

Okay not an issue as long as the flash option exists in the upload options in your database where is says 2.43 change that to 2.5

Chuck S August 6th, 2009 03:38 PM

However I would suggest you run the install and select upgrade and see if that works

clothahump August 6th, 2009 03:41 PM

Unable to see Flash Option, where exactly would I find the option?

Chuck S August 6th, 2009 03:45 PM

That to me looks like you did not run your required upgrade then. Please run the upgrade option from the install file

admincp/vbgallery_install.php

clothahump August 6th, 2009 03:50 PM

I did though, it stalled while updating templates and when it eventually completed it went straight to the admin index.

clothahump August 6th, 2009 03:57 PM

Ran upgrade again and Version number is now correct, enabled flash upload but nothing has changed in the upload box?

Chuck S August 6th, 2009 04:00 PM

You will only see the flash uploader if your running flash on your computer.

clothahump August 6th, 2009 04:09 PM

Flash uploader is there but fails, images seem to upload but when I click "Submit" it takes me to screen stating "No Images to Display".

Chuck S August 6th, 2009 06:00 PM

Okay well if the flash upload options is there you can simply do as instructed before hand edit the setting in the database to read 2.5

This is what one user posted if your using mod security

Quote:

Fixed my issue, needed to create an .htaccess file and stick SecFilterScanPOST Off in it.

The flash uploader won't work if you are using apache with mod_security on - the above fixes the issue.
Also with the flash uploader you need to have upload files from server checked to yes for all usergroups under usergroup permissions.
