overwriting images...

My previous post seems to have bee deleted so I am posting again...

I am having trouble with vbgallery. I have around 15,000 photos in my gallery at the moment but sometimes when new photos are added to new albums it over writes images from other folders. The filenames being generated do not seem to be unique. I was wondering if i could assign the userid and catid too the filenames so they will always be unique.

what version are you running? It should rename images if they are the same name

Check if you are running safe mode... If you are not running safemode.. the url to the file should contain the userid gallery/files/u/s/e/r/i/d/filename.jpg

If you are running safemode.. the filename itself contains the userid:
(for userid 325 example

in safemode:
gallery/files/325_filename.jpg

in non-safemode:
gallery/files/3/2/5/filename.jpg

So it must be another problem..

Well lets not discuss the fact that if we pull up an image with the same name by that user we rename it which is why I asked for a url and to see what issues would replicate such an issue.

Hmm I just checked and here is an example of one of the links without domain name

forums/gallery/files/img_0763_thumb.jpg

as you can see there is no sign of the userid that persons id was 56783
