vBGallery SQL Error

Hi Chuck and Supporters,

my server is sending me database errors based on the Gallery

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

So far I could not identify what the guest are doing to produce this error but anyhow I need a fix for this.

Any idea?

Try downloading the build and upload showimage.php see if that helps.

@chuck... does that meen you changed the official download?

as to the error...
it is very strange.. as it should not happen..
1. you shouldnt have the favorite query...
(it is not only the fact that u have a favorites.userid='0'.. thats a minor problem..) you shouldn't have the favorites query at ALL

2. if i browse your site as a guest.. I get the same error.. not using a category but only using the imageid.. then the sql error is different,
the $doorderby variable is empty !!!

the error comes from the query in the filmstrip.. so disable it!
see if you get other errors once filmstrip is disabled!!!

then, as chuck said, use the newest showimage.php AND the newest gallery_functions.php and overwrite the existing ones.

I suspect that when upgrading or doing something else you either reverted to the old gallery_functions.php or missed it.
(its in forums/includes)!!

if that does not work.. try disabling ALL products except vbgallery..

Check if the error persists..
if not.. then enable the products again, one by one, seeing which one causes the problem..
if the error persists.. go to the plugin manager and disable all remaining plugins except those associated with vbgallery..
do the same check..

As you have lots of images.. what did you do between the time it worked and the error first appeared???

I would make sure your using all current 2.4.3 files as Luciano suggests as it would appear you are the only one getting this error.

You can send me ftp info and admin url access to gallery to poke around if you can not solve it by all clean files.

It is rather hard to fix something when you can not reproduce the issue.

I reuploaded the latest files from the member section again but now I get also this error reported here again

I did not change anything in the db or to the vbGallery files.
I am also not doing something strange in the admin section.
Everything normal and not a heavy use of the system.
Don't understand where the error is coming from but I really hope to see a vBGallery update soon to address several bugs posted in this forum section :-(

Okay glad to hear. So your other error is about some favorites query that should never be running?

Your links are not working anymore to your site so not sure what site we are referencing here or the exact error anymore. I see Luciano's notes and he is right so please post links and exact steps to replicate any error.

I have a clean test install here and I dont see any error do you?

well i went to the link that gave the error the other day.. and it seems to be working fine now..

Thats weird because I clicked the link above a few posts up and nothing came up but now yes everything appears to be working fine on his site.
