| Content Encoding Error
I started receiving this error on the homepage of my gallery just last week: Quote:
Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
| It shows up in all browsers. To my knowledge there have been no changes to the site in quite some time. I opened a support ticket here but the response time is a bit slow.
Can anyone help me?

I do not see any posts about this in our site?
I just checked your posts and last one was november 2007
At any rate have you tried reinstalling files except the config making sure your using the correct version for your vb if you upgraded and you can try running the install script to reinstall templates phrases and seeing if this helps.

I was referring to the support case I opened via email.
I was running the most recent version. Just for the hell of it I reuploaded all files. I went to the install/upgrade script and selected upgrade. I received this message: Quote: |
You are already running the current version of PhotoPost vBGallery Photopost vBGallery.
| I checked the gallery again and I am still getting the same error message.
Please help.

Your support email was responded too I can tell you that. We asked you a question about changes and never recieved a reply on Monday
Okay well lets see if we can find what you changed recently as this would be your error.
If you turned on compression in admin settings try turning it off
Have you changed or deleted any styles lately.
These are the things I would start to suggest to check into

Yes, if I turn gzip off it displays, but I get these errors at the top of the gallery and some of my font styling looks a little strange.

I would suggest you upgrade and make sure to upgrade if this is not current
If you did upgrade did you run the install script and run upgrade?
Are permissions set in gallery admin? Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Try setting permissions in permission in vbgallery admin and rebuild any caches

OK, that seems to have fixed it, thanks!
Any idea what happened? I don't think that compression setting was changed manually.

The compression setting would have to have been changed by an admin
As far as permmissions do not know but maybe the page freaking out like that messed with your cache
