Unhappy double byte chars break

double byte (ie: korean, japanese) characters in the title or keyword of image turn into gibberish

eg:
이효리 =
something like this: 2394@#)&$&(&&#47532

vb 3.7.x
gallery 2.4.3

Can you browse the database with phpmyadmin on the image to see if the information is ok or gibberish ?

Table: ppgal_images
Field: title

I am looking to isolate if the error is in the submit of the data to the database or reading the data that is submited.

Well since I dont see any answers to any questions I am going to assume this sounds to me like an issue that we dont support those languages. Now if you load the proper character set on the page things should display fine.

Where you able to see how things are stored in the database?

nope. I sent the info and that was the last I heard of it. I'm still wary of touching the database since I'm a n00b.

loading proper character set didn't do anything
