When rebuilding thumbnails under Admin >vBGallery >Maintenance >Rebuild Image Sizes (Thumbnails, All Categories)
Everything appears to go fine for 68 pages of 70 (50 items per page)
Then, when we get to what appears to be the 48th image (counting down backwards) all hell breaks loose and the right hand admin screen goes all white. This is repeatable.
Hitting the Backspace key (backing up one page) displays:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
How do I determine what the 49th image is by file or search?
Obviously, it is corrupt.
=========================================
Edit: I did a linux locate on that #49 filename and found it under user directory 22. Then I went to phpmyadmin and looked up the name of user 22.
This took me into his section of the gallery and I deleted this particular photo. Strangely, there was only a thumbnail of this one in the Linux directory.
I did a Scan of the database for problems such as orphaned or broken images.
And then, Rebuild Image Sizes again.
This time I got a page timeout early in the run:
The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
Doing a Backspace to the previous page started up the run where it left off.
Then it dumped the same way as before after:
Resizing Image: 41 (mogul10hp&dietz@jacktown2003.jpg)
Must be that I have some corrupt stuff in this area. I had never rebuilt thumbnails before.

Could be due to odd characters in the file names?
Interesting that the full size image file of that last one is also missing.
We are working our way down to #1. This time, it was: Resizing Image: 40 (mogul6hp&me.jpg)
So it's looking like the @ and & in the file names is a no-no. This might be OK in the current version of vBGallery, but perhaps these are of early entry eons ago.
Definitely need character filtering for my gang!
DONE! GOT THROUGH THEM ALL. The last photo was also missing its full size image. Only 3 in 3,473 - I'm lucky!
Zachariah, you have more work to do, checking in on file name filtering.
