| Bulk Uploading needs tuning
Unlike PP Vbg will crash if you put more than 200 photos in the bulkupload folder at a time.
With PP I can put thousands in a single directory and it will import then flawlessly. Vbg however will time out and die if there is any more 200. No errors reported, jus tthe white screen of death.
In the next version please re-align the VBG bulk import to PPs.
Thanks!

I have done bulk w/ 820 @ a time.
- all are usaly 640x480 under 100k
You think the size is creating the problem ?
- memory not flushing ?

I dont have this problem with pp though and I do even more with it. I think Vbg is trying to read the entire directory first then processing them. I just lowered it to about 300 in a batch and it works so I am gonna try and find the upper limit.

Trackpads,
Not sure about which method vBG is doing but, yeah, I've done about 1,000+ pictures already in 'FTP' batch mode to my server already with no problems. The pictures were from my wedding and each was several hundred K. I'm on a dedicated server and am able to tweak my memory settings to high number so that may have played a part of it.
Either way, though, you're right... we should request that the guys take a look at the code to see if it reads all of the files at once and then processes them or if it does it smaller batches.

vBGallery reads the entire directory. Photopost processed by default 10 at a time to prevent timeouts etc. You can set this to 10,25,50 or 100 at a time.

I just checked and about 300 at a time is the most I can do, I am ona dedicated server aswell but again, dont have these problems with the PP install.
Also, a "proceed to next page" would be a good addition aswell instead of needing to click next page for each batch.
Thanks again,
-Jason
