IE reports an error on showimage page, if no posts

I have a strange error on the showimage page. The page loads fine and there are no visible problems, but IE 6.0 SP2 reports an error. This only happens if there are no replies on the page. If there is at least one reply, it goesn't give an error. On Firefox, everything looks fine also.

The error is one of those yellow !'s on the bottom status box of the IE. It goes something like this:

Line: 145
Symbol: 2
Error: "null" has value "null" or is not an element
Code: 0
URL: .../showimage.php?i=2692&c=newimages

I'm using vB 3.5 with the latest Gallery. I don't think I goofed it up with template changes since I've also tried with the default template.

I came here to post the same thing.

If you view an image with no replies, it gives you a javascript error. If the page has at least one reply, there are no errors.

Look in your ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE template for this code:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Replace with this:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
And that should take care of the problem.

Hello Brian

I tried this for my errors as well but still get these. It seems that if your not logged in that you don't get the error reported.

Thanks in advance

Which site is this that you're having the problem with? One of your sites is closed to guests, so I would assume that's not the one since guests would not be able to see the page. I checked a few images on your other site, but I'm not getting any errors.

Re: IE reports an error on showimage page, if no posts

Brian it is my v-rodforums.com site but so far I have been working with this on my backup machine to test it before I go live with the update. I run two mirror servers and the backup is the only one I have tried the updates with. 3.5.0 I have had not any issues with but the gallery has been my only problem so far. Both machines run RHE4 if that helps.

I'm getting this error too.

I made the change described above and it went some way to fix the problem.

When I'm browsing my images I don't get any errors when I did before.

I still get errors when I'm browseing the category by thumbnails. I've also noticed that the images per page/category tools/search drop downs are not working either.
