new image and random image code

ok..I'm a n00b when it comes to finding what template to look for what in. and there are like 1099089089 templates.
so I thought I'd ask...

where is the code for NEW IMAGE and RANDOM IMAGE bar?

I want to move it to the TOP of the page and on my forums home. Is that even possible?

any pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

nm. Finally figured it out.

That said, how do you get just ONE image to display in the random or new image box WITHOUT leaving 3 spaces blank?

I want to make a box showing just ONE image. (the box is the size of one image as well). Right now when I do so....it makes a box with image but three blank cells as well.

You set it to show 1 in the Gallery AdminCP?

yah did that...it shows 1 image....but also shows three blank spaces (where images WOULD go if I set it to 4 for example) as well after it.

AH, it sounds like it's using the setting for how many thumbnails to show per row when browsing categories to determine how wide to make the table for those. This may need to be reported as a bug.

ack!! hmmm...is there a formal procedure to report a bug? Or do I just post "BUG: blahblahblah"?

You just did...

Brian scans the Troubleshooting forum, and if it turns out to be a bug, he'll move it to the Bugs forum and (most of the time) post a fix.

Hmmm... Sounds like we need to add an extra check on those sections so that it will only print the speficied number of images/table cells if the number selected is less than the number of images per row. I'm not at home right now so I don't have access to the files, but I'll go ahead and move this to the bugs forum and see if I can get a fix posted this evening.

If you'll look in your gallery/index.php file for this code:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Replace with:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Then find:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Replace with:

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

And that should take care of the problem.
