User Group Permission

I am having a problem with the user group permission
I set the upload limit to 256 kb for registered user, it was working properly. But after I upgrade the forum to RC 4 , it changes the limit to "unlimited". I set it to 500kb , 1mb 500mb , it doesnt make any different and users can upload unlimit mb pictures.

what should I do ?

Re: User Group Permission

Same issue here, I submitted a support ticket for it. If you have secondary usergroups make sure their primary usergroup doesn't have their limit set to 0 or that will take precidence since 0 = unlimited. Didn't matter on my end though. I'll let you know the outcome of my ticket.

Re: User Group Permission

I have this exact same problem.
I however just purchased the gallery a few hours ago and have done a clean innstall.
The problem became apparent as soon as I tested out the gallery, without haveing done any modifications except a import from my photopost gallery.

I really want to get rid of photopost as soon as possible, so it would be nice if someone could come with a solution to this issue

Re: User Group Permission

It was a fresh install here as well. Brian looked at mine yesterday but no fix yet, hopefully he'll get a chance to look at it again soon. I'll keep ya posted.

Brian is the man, he got both the category limit and the size limits working for me

. I don't know what he changed though so I can't pass on any info to help you out , but I did direct him to this thread. Hopefully he'll respond shortly and let us know what was wrong.

Re: User Group Permission

Yeah it would be great if Brian could post the solution to this issue.
I don't trust my members as far as I can throw them, so I can't open the gallery untill this issue is resolved

Re: User Group Permission

There were a couple of things that needed to be changed, so please download the files from here again, upload the gallery/upload.php, gallery/gallery_global.php, and forum/includes/functions_gallery_imageedit.php files over your existing ones and that should take care of the problem.

What are the changes? Still don't seem to work?
