Mass Uploading (FTP) and Existing Filenames

Example:

I have uploaded images into my Gallery already, named Image001.jpg, Image002.jpg, Image003.jpg.

I FTP new images, with those same names, into my FTP directory, go to the upload screen, check the box to process files in that directory.

On the first pass, the screen shows:

Quote:
Upload Errors
Image001_238363.jpg
Invalid File Type
Image002_499442.jpg
Invalid File Type
Image003_964589.jpg
Invalid File Type

If I look in my FTP directory on the server, the files have now been renamed (as they should).

If I go BACK to the upload screen and repeat the process, it will upload them correctly the second time. (Because they have been renamed, and have unique names at this point.)

Re: Mass Uploading (FTP) and Existing Filenames

Note: If I use the standard upload form (set to allow 3 uploads at once), and upload those same three filenames, it works correctly. It only seems to happen when processing files from the user FTP directory.

If you'll look in your forum/includes/functions_gallery_imageedit.php file for this code:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
And add this below it:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Then that should take care of the problem.

That seems to be in the version I just purchased and I get the same thing Also a bunch of other buggy stuff http://www.lanx.org.au/gallery/? like thumb nails not lining up with the right images, images not showing up, and now not even letting me upload images because it says invalid file type...

Re: Mass Uploading (FTP) and Existing Filenames

Can you post some links to the specific images you're having a problem with?

Hi Brian,

I am having the Invalid File Type errors as well. I checked my forum/includes/functions_gallery_imageedit.php file to insert the code that you suggested and it was already in there. That is the only error that I am getting from this system...

any other thoughts as to what could be causing this?

Here's a snippet of my functions_gallery_imageedit.php file....

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

And this is when you're mass uploading images, or when you're uploading them through your browser?
