Exact match search by username Not a priority item for me now, but I'd hope for a fix before going live. If I search for "Rat" (one of my favourite photo contributors), I get a hundred other names and photos from usernames containing "Rat". We're big on rodents I guess. You can see the same action at the live demo. Two users, two photos: StewardManscat and StewardManscat2. Search with exact match checked for StewardManscat finds both. Not an exact match. Great product guys. Looking forward to it. Keep up the good work. PS: The more I use vb, the more I discover what a blunt intrument the search facility is. I wonder if there's a hot-rod version over at the vbulletin.org.... |
Re: Exact match search by username Just replied to your ticket, but for anyone else who needs the fix as well: Open your gallery/search.php file and look for this code: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.Code: Content visible to verified customers only. |
Re: Exact match search by username I think $exactname a few lines above that needs to be changed to $exactusername also (where it checks to see if the username is less than 3 characters). |
Re: Exact match search by username I could have swore I searched the file just to make sure that wasn't used anywhere else. You are correct though. |
