Question about database versions...
 

Good day,

Long story short, I got to buy the complete version instead of the upgrade.
We bought a business who already was using it and they sold us the content
of the site and were using V. 5.13 and since we neede the licence we
just got V. 8.03

Since I have the full software to install, I am wondering if I'll be able to import the existing database once installed or if I simply link to it while installing?

Has there been changes to the database structure at all between those versions?

If your existing copy is running simply perform the upgrade instructions. ;)
