Resize before upload?

Hi. Galleries that I have used all seem to rely on ImageMagick of GD for resizing. On shared hosting, this usually results in a failed upload due to server timeout or memory limit being exceeded. Typically photos larger than ~2MB fail to upload. How does PhotoPost resize images?

Any program that resizes images whether its a forum gallery etc all use Imagemagick or GD to process images and are subjected to the same limitations of any such said programs.

For example upload size or memory those are PHP settings so you are restricted from larger files etc unless you edit your php to allow larger uploads etc

For example on my site I set max php upload to 8M.

Now you can not set php how you want it on all hosts so your limited to what your host allows.
