Hi, is it necessary to upload a product first to give users the option to write a review? Or is there an option a user can add a review of a product without uploading a product first?
Second, I have an expired pp classifieds, is there a way I can upgrade this to the pp reviewspost script? Thanks.

You can ask possibility of exchanging scripts to customer service via email

You need to upload a product first to post a review because just like photos etc you need to have that thing you want to comment on there already.
