Question on copyright

I have been thinking about buying both photopost classifieds and gallery.
When I have had a look at the source code used on some classifieds sites, I have seen "Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds" in the head tags. Is this part of the copyright or is it something that can be easily changed by the end user.

There is no Powered by in the head tags at least there has not been for many versions now. The copyright is in the footer of the site solely.

My present classifieds developer has gone awol for a while, so I have been looking at an alternative which will be VB4 compliant and yours looks the best by far.
