Is it possible to add members to a group if they post more than 3 pictures?

I run a forum for a non-profit open-source application and I am considering to purchase a licence but since the price is high for our community, I want to make sure I could do the following:

Is there a way to add members that posted a picture (or even better, that posted more than x pictures) to a specific group?

Not without some type of code modification in a default standalone install.

Now some integrations where we integrate with vbulletin or maybe SMF this would be possible since you can make in the forum post based groups and we can bump a users forum post count if they post an image so its possible in that regard.
