ImageMagick or GD2

ImageMagick or GD2 for image handling? Is one better or preferred over the other? If i have a choice which is better or preferred?

If I have a choice I use Imagemagick always if I can.

Thanks. I asked my host to set up Imagemagick for me. Already had GD2, but from your post and reading other post imagemagick seems to have more features and less load on the system.

Yes no load on PHP which GD2 has since its part of PHP so thats a big reason IM is better. Quality is about the same as GD2 maybe a little better and handles more image formats
