PHPBB 2.2 MS SQL integration

Hi

We have a PHPBB 2.2x forum and would like to integrate Photo Post so the members can use their existing username/passwords.

The forum is run from a MS SQL database. If we can't use the MS SQL database with Photopost can we set up a separate MySQL database to run photopost but still integrate the user/password information from the MS SQL database

If we can is this easy to do?

We only use MySQL not MSSQL so there would be no way to do that unless you move your forum also to mysql.
