Before purchase, a question on image security

I am wondering where the image folder is located, is it inside or outside the web root, and is there measures in place to stop hotlinks etc? I would prefer folders for storage outside the web root.

In Photopost Pro the images can be located within the web or outside the webroot where you specify.

There is an option in the program to copy to a non web root folder
