Image Size Display Based on Usergroup?

Is it possible with PhotoPost to set images to display at a default size (say 5" max), but have a link to click for a larger image -- but the larger image can only be seen by particular usergroups?

You can set a medium threshold yes but if they can see images in that category they can click and see the large image. There are no separate permissions structures to view large images

Understood. Would I be able to modify the showphoto.php template and use an if condition code to only display the "Click on image to view larger image" line for certain usergroups? I was able to do this in vBulletin for the Quick Style Chooser drop-down menu at the bottom of the main forum list and it works really well.
