Url Rewriting - Photopost
 

Hello,

After I do a mod_rewrite to improve the urls for better search engine rankings, is there a way I can change the name of the showphoto.php or simply change the url style.

Currently it looks like:

http://www.domain.com/gallery/showph...to/816/cat/524

Can it be changed to something like

www.domain.com/photo/816/cat/524

i.e. eliminating gallery and showphoto.php directories.


This would result in my website urls being different from tons of the same name style urls crawled in Google.

I suppose you could try some rewrite trickery although I never personally got into mod rewrite. You might want to post in the MOD CORNER to see if anyone has done something like this
