Security worries

Hi, I am the Community Manager for Atari and we are considering using the photo gallery on our vBulletin forum. However, our main concern is security and virus attacks, how does this gallery guard against users being able to upload virus' to the server?

I've never heard of our system being used to deliver a "virus"; since you control what types of files can be uploaded to your system, you can control the content. Furthermore, you can use utilities like JPEGTRAN to remove header information from an image during processing.
