vbSEO Like System

Hello,
I was wondering if there was any vbSEO like system or something for search engine friendly URLs for PhotoPost? Is there any one in the making?

Thanks
John

Hey John,

I'm not aware of anything in the works. I would also be interested in better SEO. I've spend many hours researching the vbSEO product. Webmasters seem to be divided on weither it is worth installing or not. Many have the stance that google can spider the dynamic urls just fine, and using apache rewrite to change the urls to /something-more-friendly.php can eat up a lot server resources.

If PhotoPost had the SEO feature included that would be great.

Good luck with your SEO!

PhotoPost Pro already includes a "Search Engine Friendly" option which is very effective at creating URLs that spiders love to eat up.

Hi Michael,

Do you have an example of the SE friendly urls photopost pro creates? Also, does that work with vbulletin?

I'm looking at VBSEO and trying to make sure photopost pro works with it.

Photopost spider urls are in this format

http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/504

They use / instead of the normal ? and = which spiders dont like and they are very effective. vbulletin works fine with it as they do something somewhat similar in their program
