I currently use photoplog and am interested in using photopost pro with my vb3.5. I use photopost classifieds and so far its worked well.

Im curious if i'm able to manually resubmit all the photos that i have in my current one? Its getting more popular but its still managable enough where i could take each photo and resubmit it to photopost pro. I dont want to have to ask the users to resubmit their photos again.

So, my question is it possible to easily assign photos in categories for under those users names? Any way to manually do it or go back int he db and change my name to theirs after its up.. only 96 to do, not bad a small price to pay for not having used something different from the start.

You can easily reupload 96 pictures to process in Photopost but your not going to be able to upload them as the users. If the users existed in Photopost you could use the admin upload box to upload as a user but those users are not going to exist in photopost. You would need to register the users whom posted the pics first them you could as admin upload as the user and have the pic show as uploaded by them.

I do run classifieds, so they are in there. As far as them not being "in" photopost what do you mean?

If I can do the same thing i can in classifieds with pictures i think i'll be ok since in classifieds you can upload ads as other users.

I can upload each photo as a certain user so that way that picture is by that particular user. This way any searches for that users photos or viewing their particular gallery would show their photos that i uploaded as their user. So at this point the user could upload more through photopost that would just be apart of their galleries as usual and if they had photos i uploaded those would also show under their user gallery correct?

What I am saying is if you want to change Classifieds to integrate with Photopost Pro you need to copy the users from classifieds into the Photopost users table then you can go about changing the integration.

Now if your not going to integrate classifieds with Photopost and your just worrying about installing PhotoPost and copying photos from the external app. You need to register the users from the external app in your Photopost and then upload the pics as the user yes it works the same in classifieds as it does Photopost.
