Photopost or vbgallery?

Ok I've got gallery and I'm thinking of switching to photpost whats the main advantages of Photopost over vbgallery?

Also can you think of any major problem on the port over? Our site has Categories: 557, Images: 48,959, Posts: 24,629, Total Views: 4,093,952, Total Disk Space: 9.81 GB

There are quite a few threads of this nature in this section that you can use for reference; I would suggest that you do some research to decide if a switch would be best for you.

I don't see any problem in in switching over, many have ported to the other app; however, as with any kind of migration I suggest that you do backups and run test imports or possibly have Chuck do it for you.

Yeah we would do a test first and probably be a good idea to have someone on hand who knows what they are doing since it's quite a big move and things can always go wrong.

Guess I better search for the main extras.

Ghostsuit, just curious...

What's the motivation behind switching? If you've already got vBGallery then was there a particular feature or something you saw in the forums that prompted you to consider converting?

Good question, Kevin; I would say that unless you have a burning desire to switch that you are fine with the setup you have. A conversion is not simple, but can be done; although I would suggest it only if there was a need to do so.
