| Planning to buy it but PhotoPost seems not so good...
I tried doing some uploads with PhotoPost and I noticed that it has problems with some kind of jpegs (the ones generated by the camera phone Nokia 3220 and my Pocket PC)... I attached the pics which "fails" here, any help?

I tried to upload all 3 images I posted here on this same forum in the "member gallery" section. They all give "Error....1".

Okay that could mean there maybe something wrong with the permissions or something on the site or processor but I am able to upload them with no issue.

You should be able to upload now, we had upgraded our server and I neglected to update the path to ImageMagick on our test site.

I think the problem has to do with the .jpg generated by the phone (Nokia 3230) and Pocket PC, they must be some format which conflicts with PhotoPost. I tried again the upload but all I get is the following error... too bad PhotoPost can't support these type of .jpg.... I needed to install it on a site dedicated to users with the Nokia 3230 cellphone...
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1
Command:
"/usr/local/bin/mogrify" +profile "*" -size 100x82 -quality 70 -geometry 100x82 -unsharp 10 '/var/www/photopost/photopost/data/500/thumbs/photo_error2.jpg'

They upload fine with Photopost. Michael must be having an issue with the mogrify install here
You can try on my site with the username testing and testing http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/show...t=500&ppuser=1 |

I'll run my own test here to see if its a problem with our setup.
Edit:
When I run it here with ImageMagick 5.5.6-18 and 5.5.7-10, I get these errors: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Just as an FYI, on my own server I upgraded to ImageMagick 6.0.7 and it did not work, so I upgraded to 6.2.0.7-2 and the upload then worked without the error.
So, if you are using ImageMagick, you'll want to be sure you have a copy at least version 6.2.0.7-2.

I upgraded the site here to the same version: http://www.photopost.com/photopost/s...php?photo=6428
and uploaded the photo successfully.

The Images will not work with GD2 2.028 or below as I tested this and that is correct because they are invalid jpeg files as far as the image processor is concerned. I can not say whether GD 2.0.33 resolves this but I would say NO since it was released in 2004 and is there latest build.
I would just like to clarify here this is not an issue with the Photopost Gallery Software. Any Gallery software you look at will have this same issue with those images since all gallery software is reliant on either GD2 or ImageMagick for Image Processing.
Now since this deals with the Image Processing software which is a server software as long as you are using the latest ImageMagick on your server you will be fine uploading those images. I would suggest if you purchase Photopost you use it on a hosting environment where you have the ability to compile your own software and you can compile Imagemagick yourself to know you have a version that will work with them.
There are many good host's out there and ones like the one I use which is http://www.westhost.com which have great features and decent pricing for shared accounts if your not quite up to the dedicated server scene yet. I can compile whatever software I want on my VPS server because although its a top line shared account it is its own private server space.
Here are the ImageMagick installation docs on our site here which show how to install Imagemagick http://www.photopost.com/howtoinstall-php.html
I hope the above explanation clarifies the nature of this issue for you and puts any apprehensions to rest that you have.
