Photopost vBGallery Renewal

Hi, I just recently renewed my license, and received the update renewal just a short while ago. However, after logging into the members area, I still seem only capable of downloading an older version which is v1.0.2. Yeah, its a very old version, as my sites been very dormant with no activity, but I'm looking to try and revise its life, starting with new installs of everything.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I would have thought that renewing the license would have given me access to the latest version.

Thanks
PT

The latest version of vbgallery is 1.02 which was just released a couple weeks ago.

My apologies again. I've been off the scene for quite some time. Everything I was reading is showing Photopost 5.2, thus I assumed that was the latest version. I really didn't see much on vBGallery (nor did I realize they are two different products) to find out what the latest version is.

So what would be the main advantage in changing from Photopost vbGallery 1.02 to Photopost 5.2?

PTMuldoon,

If you're already running vBG and are happy with it then there really isn't a single main advantage to purchasing & switching to PhotoPost PHP Pro. PP Pro has several features that are either not available in vBG or are more flexible.

Essentially vBG is an vBulletin only solution that offers excellent integration (admin is done through the ACP, it will use your vBulletin styles directly, etc.) while PP Pro can be run as either a stand-alone gallery or tied to a number of forums including vB while offering several features above & beyond vBG.

Kevin nailed that one PTMuldoon

Unless your really after or needing the additional features and abilities that our PhotoPost Pro program has over vBGallery there is no reason to shell out an additional $129.00
