Question What's the difference i.e. Coppermine

Sorry I just don't get why I should buy PP. I don't mean to be sarcastic. I can bridge coppermine with almost any forum software and I've tried making sense of the integration of PP with forums but I still don't get it.

It's not as tho it (PP) is merged with say vb as a user option. It's still a separate application - right? I mean you have your main forum and then you have an image gallery separate - right? Just shares the user login anme and password.

Or am I missing something?

PhotoPost has a much deeper intergration with vBulletin than Coppermine which has to be modified to integrate at just the user level with vB.

Both PhotoPost Pro and PhotoPost vBGallery integrate into vBulletin - not just sharing the user database. You get signatures, avatars, vBulletin's data entry boxes, etc. PhotoPost vBGallery shares vB's template and phrases system and integrates directly into the Admin CP.

So, if you are using Coppermine bridged to vB, you are missing alot.

Actuallly, my main question is, can a user see/upload images from the vb forum or do the need to access the PP area/install?

=====================================================

So you're saying it adds an option to the vb admin control panel to manage quotas, image sizes and the like? Or does one use a separate cp for PP?

No you do not upload images from the vb forum, it is handled through our gallery. You could add a block to provide an upload box on your forum side that POSTs to the gallery, but we do not integrate with attachments if that is what you are asking.
