Database size

Hey Brian,

How does gallery effect the size of the database. The reason I'm asking is I am only allowed 50 MB for my mySQL database.

Re: Database size

That's going to depend on the number of images, replies, and etc. The images are not stored in the database, but the info about them is, along with replies and such. And just to give you an example, I have 11,000+ images on my personal site and the images table takes up 1.6mb. Though none of the images really have any descriptions or additional info about them, so the space would be a little more if you add those things in.

Re: Database size

So it's really pretty negligible. Perfect. Thanks. Looks like I'll be buying it. I have just under 100 members, but a lot of them are friends and family who LOVE uploading images. I have a "Share Photographs section, which will probably be eliminated when I add the gallery, so it'll probably be just a wash.

Re: Database size

Installed flawlessly (that I can tell so far until people start uploading images )
