Ascii files?

What if one wanted to allow both image and ascii files so that a member could upload images as well as text items such as fanfiction, stories, and prose. Is there an option for this and what kind of "preview" would be available. If this does not exist, I think a few simple file edits to test extension and mime-type to determin preview would be awesome. This would complete a site in my opinion.

Re: Ascii files?

If a non-image file is uploaded then it simply uses a default graphic (based on the extension of the file) as the thumbnail and large image.

Re: Ascii files?

Are these the same mime icons that vB uses, or can I override them? For example, display a 100x100 icon that better explains the file type?

Re: Ascii files?

It pulls a default image from your gallery/images folder, so you can use whatever image you would like for those files.
