question about gallery

I know this probably doesn't belong here but i was visiting a site that uses vbadvance gallery and i was wondering if users can create their own sub categories? if so could anyone tell me how
i dont see anything on this gallery site to create your own sub category but it looks like other are able to.

2) They probably have it set up so when you upload, it automatically creats a sub-category for you. That's how I have mine set up

Why not ask the people that own the site? There are many different ways they could have things set up and/or customized.
