Some questions

1) is it possible to add thumbs for the file you upload (so if you set allow to upload a .zip, .exe or video files. So you can show what it is if wanted?

2) is it also possible to disable hotlinking? Like with the attachments i got that directory set above the public_html... Would that work for this gallery?

3) and isn't the gallery more like a file database with all the options it got?

1). You cannot add a thumbnail for each image you upload, but any files that cannot be resized will have a default image shown for each filetype.
2). Yes, there is an option to protect hotlinking with a .htaccess file.
3). It could be used as either really.

for the image its fine that it makes a thumb but it would be cool if i could add my own thumb for an installer or video. So i could show what it is... If all my vids get like a default picture it gets kinda boring.

But for the rest the gallery looks great. I will prolly use it when I want to move to 3.5

some other Q i had what happens if the user uploads something with the same name again? Does it check on that? Or does the gallery do name+uniqueid.jpg or something?

It adds a random number to the end of the filename.

I can't wait till 3.5 is out so i can rebuild the site =)

Currently there is no option to upload an image from a URL.
