Weird situation

I am not sure if i am allowed to post here but...

I am working someone's site that has vbgallery. Their previous "tech" purchased vba gallery on her account but left on bad terms. I am trying to find out which files are editing on installation the random image script point to the wrong location (//gallery instead of /forums/gallery). All of the script options in the cp are fine but the thumbnails (in the gallery, not just portal) point to a location that doesn't exist. (also there are 2 //'s for some reason on the bad url)
